How to shine in insurance agent exam and try some free printable sample questions

After the success of my blogs on Wonderlic Test Sample Questions, Auditing jobs, Administrative Jobs question, MAT, Accounting Jobs and SAT now I want to create this blog for readers to do well in insurance agent exam. In my first part in this blog you learn little bit about insurance exam and later you will see free insurance agent tests.

What is insurance agent exam?

Insurance agents who wish to sell life and health insurance must first pass the Life and Health Test. Candidates taking the Life and Health Test should also be aware that life and health insurance rules and regulations vary from state to state, so they should make sure to study the relevant rules for the state in which they seek licensure.

How this exam works?

The Life and Health qualification exam splits the two titular topics into separate sections.

Section 1-Topics covered in the life insurance section of the exam are:

* Life insurance basics
* Policy provisions
* Life insurance policy options and riders
* Life insurance tax considerations
* Qualified life insurance and annuity plans
* Annuity policy information
* Annuity policy tax considerations and implications
 

Section 2- The health insurance section includes questions on these topics:

* Health insurance basics
* Individual, group, and dental insurance policies and provisions
* Disability income
* Medical plans
* Special needs individual insurance
* HMOs (Health Maintenance Organizations)
* Tax considerations for health insurance

Structure of the exam

Candidates are given two and a half hours to complete the 150 questions on the Life and Health Test. The questions on the exam come in three formats, all multiple-choice: direct question, incomplete sentence, and “all of the following except…”
The Life and Health Test is computerized, and candidates receive their results immediately upon finishing the test. Candidates must answer 70 percent of the questions correctly to pass the Life and Health Exam. The score report gives detailed information to the candidate about how he/she performed in each section of the test.

Each of the fifty US states requires life and health insurance professionals to attain licensure by passing the Life and Health Insurance examination. There are eighteen content areas covered by the exam: insurance regulation (5%); general insurance (5%); life insurance basics (7%); life insurance policies (7%); life insurance policy provisions, options, and riders (8%); annuities (6%); federal tax considerations for life insurance and annuities (5%); qualified plans (4%); health insurance basics (5%); individual health insurance policy general provisions (4%); disability income and related insurance (3%); medical plans (8%); health maintenance organizations (3%); group health insurance (7%); dental insurance (2%); insurance for senior citizens and special needs individuals (8%); federal tax considerations for health insurance (3%); and additional considerations for life and health insurance counselors (10%). The questions on the Life and Health Insurance exam will be in three different multiple-choice formats: direct question, incomplete sentence, and “all of the following except.” Each question will have four possible answers from which the candidate must choose.
